A carpet imagined as a ceiling, Stucchi is the new product by Cristina Celestino for Mogg. It comes from a strong fascination that has the designer with interiors' ceiling, undeniable is in fact the charm from looking at the ancient locations, decorated with moldings and stucco.
The stucco, which is the project's core, is used Since ancient times to give life to embossed and materic compositions, where the use of the marbles was not possible. The final choose to design Stucchi is the flower decoration, liven up by little birds, and disciplined by using geometric weave which rules the drawing composition, with a three-dimensional bas-relief.
The work is based on the view from below of these ceilings overlaying layers with desaturated backgrounds following an invisible geometry. The theme of the stucco in the ceiling is reversed to the floor in these carpets that allow to observe the aesthetic value from a different perspective thanks to a new support.
