Cristina's house has a story that she choose to handle with respect, deciding to not touch the structure and to keep the original finishing, as evident trace of a glorious recent past, such as palladiana and wooden flooring, original doors and original fireplace. The house is a catalogue of ideas; not only a place where to live but an anthology of history and at the same time a stage where Cristina presents her work. The philosophy is knowing the past to project the future.
The interior design of the apartment express harmony with the collection of remarkable Italian vintage furniture that she had created during the years, mixed with the products of her own design. The wardrobe’s shutters that cover almost entirely the bedroom were designed by Atelier Borsani and the ceramic handles of the big sliding door dividing the sitting room and dining room, have been realised by an artisan who used to work with the same atelier.
In the living room a Borsani’s sofa and the armchairs by Joe Colombo along with the floor lamp by Kartell (1967) live side by side with her own design objects. In the bedroom the well-known Vanessa bed by Tobia Scarpa coexists with no problem with Ecstasy, dressing table designed a few years ago for Attico Design.
