This 550 sq mts apartment is located in a 4-story building in the Parioli neighborhood, in Roma; dating back to the thirties, it is a cornerstone of rational architecture. The building's heritage and its exposure to the city, together with the client's needs gave the inspiration for the main design themes: a place for work and life, guided by an idea that revolves around the concept of 'hygge', a warm welcome.
The project emphasizes the act of capturing scenes, instants, circumstances, perspectives, and the overall scenery. Our aim was to create a flexible setting, meticulously crafted yet adaptable to the various habits and endeavors of those who reside within it.
"There is a softness to the design sentiment of Cristina Celestino that is naturally restful. Fond of a palette that traverses buttery neutrals to the pastel prettiness of patisserie-like shades of pink and pistachio, she is a designer whose style doesn’t shout, but rather soothes in hushed tones."

We made a deliberate effort to highlight the connection to the landscape and harness natural light, seamlessly incorporating elements of the outdoors into the apartment, and directing the gaze through precise perspective views. The inclusion of greenery was envisioned as an integrated furniture piece, essential to the spatial design and color scheme.
Setting aside the notion of ornamentation for its own sake, geometries, materials, and color fields become functional to the space. Rationalist principles suggest new chromatic and material canons, a new style. The dramatic effects give way to pervasive elegance, which, from room to room, manifests in organic lines, refined geometries, and many small luxurious details, embracing a regal overall intervention.
