The table collection Caryllon, has a retro flavour with a strong evocative spirit. The tables with inlaid panels and various features, reinterpreting the aesthetics of the small wooden boxes of wonders which were once commonly found in bourgeois environments, being created for the pleasant surprises hidden inside, with their precious inlaid decorations, rather than for their sound.
The leitmotiv of the collection is the square-section wood chosen for the structure, which dialogues in a harmonious contrast with the richness of the panels’ decorative treatment inspired by straw marquetry, a sophisticated artisan technique, characteristic of Art Deco, with the inlay made with dyed strips of straw.Classic decor that leaves room for a geometric, meticulous cabinetmaking technique, repeated in modules and enhanced by unexpected colours.
The rich colour palette selected for the panels that blend into the solid lacquered perimeter just like the bases’ outline, is another characteristic of this unique collection made up of a large rectangular table and an original, smaller, flower-shaped coffee table. An innovative harmony of delicate and new polychrome proportions.
