Rose
The "Rose" collection is a tribute to the town of Nove and the talented women whose hands have been molding exquisite floral decorations for the local pottery industry for generations. Crafted from raw clay with exquisite attention to detail, each flower in the "Rose" collection is transformed into a small, alluring work of art through the delicate process of immersion in a color bath, in tones spanning from smooth pastel to velvety hues. The roses are incorporated into the mosaic surface as three-dimensional objects, accentuating the dynamic interplay of shades and creating a visually captivating effect.Diamantino
The diamantino collection is based on a lenghten, three-dimensional diamond shape, which immediately recalls a graphic sign from the fifties. The mosaic speaks a unique Italian and Mediterranean language, recalling Harlequin’s Venice Carnival patched costume, and boast the three-dimensional feature of a piece of kinetic art. The walls are transformed into a canvas for a striking tile design that creates a sense of solidity and depth through the interplay of light, shadow, and waves of colorClinker
The Clinker collection offers a fresh take on the traditional clay tile, renowned for its remarkable durability and glossy appearance achieved through firing at extremely high temperatures. The inspiration for this collection for BottegaNove came from the iconic Milanese buildings from the fifties, which used this sort of tiles as main element on their facades. The hexagonal brick mosaic bricks are crafted from black clay, and boasts the traditional strength and vitrified surface.Micromosaico
The mosaic tiles in this collection feature a unique effect achieved by using a covering glaze known as "craquelé," which creates a crackled appearance. Although originally used in Nove for its unique aesthetic effects, the "craquelé" glaze was actually discovered by mistake due to a difference in the coefficient of expansion between the glaze and clay. This creates surface tensions that produce the distinctive web-like effect on the surface. To obtain a perfect crackle, it is essential that the airbrush spraying is dosed correctly, and that firing temperature is correctly set. In the next step of production, a valuable and colorful luster is applied and then fired, causing it to melt and fuse with the glaz. The final product is a Micromosaic of exceptional beauty, showcasing a range of precious tones that are best viewed from a close distance.Browse more
